Dandy-102812-new
Cowboy's Foolish Five

Dandy is my matron mare and she was born on April Fools Day 1998. She is head of the pecking order and keeps everyone in line. Dandy is 100% foundation and is heavy with King breeding. Her foals are always BIG, very correct with SUPER dispositions and have a great temperment.
Dandy was a birthday present back in 1999. We have had her since she was a yearling and I've shared a lot of special moments with her. Dandy is broke to ride but she spends most of her time at leisure in the field with the other mares. Dandy's foals are 100% foundation and carry 19.1% Poco Bueno (8x) blood and 16.2% King (24x) blood.

Ginger is a gorgeous GRULLA mare that is 99% NFQHA and 100% FQHR. She is 35.9% Poco Bueno, 19.9% King and has Poco Bueno 2x on her face paper!! Ginger is what foundation is all about. She was born on Frank Perkins ranch in TX which is special in itself! She is a great mare and she has the looks, color, conformation, personality and bloodlines of a super foundation mare!

Ginger has had extensive training and is a fun to ride.  She is great on the trails, on the road, in parades or in the arena...just point her in the direction and she goes! This mare is like the duracell bunny, just goes and goes and goes. You can't wear her out! Ginger is a super sweet mare and she has a very special bond with my daughter.

Ginger's foals are 99% NFQHA, 100% FQHR, 36.3% Poco Bueno and 20.3% King.

Miss Poco Amigo 4444

Oops is a 2000 bay mare, double bred great-granddaughter of Poco Bueno. (Poco Bueno on papers twice) She is a true 100% foundation by NFQHA, FQHR and WFQHA standards (not rounded up) and is 34.4% Poco Bueno and 25.4% King blood. She has a super bulldog and is OLD foundation at it's best. Oops is 14.2hh. Her foals are 100% foundation, carry 35.5% Poco Bueno and 23.0% King blood.

We bought Oops as a weanling and have enjoyed having her around since. She is very content out in the field doing her own thing and she loves to be loved on. Oops has a great disposition and is just an all around nice mare. Due to me being pregnant when she turned 2 years old, she was never broke to ride. Broodmare life suits her though, she is a great mother. She has given me some AWESOME foals.

Jaz Poco Sierra

Sierra is a dun OWN DAUGHTER of the most famous stallion to ever stand on the Jaz Ranch in Oregon...LITTLE STEEL DUST!! Sierra stands 14.2hh and weighs 1,200 pounds! She is 100% NFQHA , 32.8% Poco Bueno blood (4x) and 17.6% King blood (5x).  This mare is thick bodied, heavy muscled and an absolute bulldog! Sierra is broke to ride and I can hop on her at anytime and take off. Sierra's foal with Lil Jess Tivio is 100% NFQHA, 34.8% Poco Bueno blood (11x) and 20.1% King blood (17x). She is Herda N/N. What a great mare!

Sierra has a total carefree attitude and she is wonderful with people. She takes extra special measures not to step on the kids when they lead her and she is just so nice to be around. She is a excellent mare for the kids or beginners to handle.

Husky-102812new
Poco Husky Paula

Husky is a 2004 bay double bred great-granddaughter of Poco Bueno (Poco Bueno twice on papers). She is 100% NFQHA, FQHR and WFQHA and boasts 34.4% Poco Bueno blood and 27.3% King blood. Husky is the perfect babysitter for my kids. She has the best disposition you could ask for. Husky's foals carry 100% foundation and are 35.5% Poco Bueno and 24.0% King. She is Herda N/N.

Husky came to us back in 2007 from Kansas. I was looking for the "perfect" mare to add to our band and this mare all but fell in my lap. She had everything I was looking for, the perfect breeding, size, disposition and conformation. She spent several months at the trainer and came back the most well rounded horse. She is great to ride, handle, breed or whatever I want to do with her. I ride her on trails, the kids on double on her or I turn them loose on her.  She never mis-behaves and is always super pleasant to be around.

All-horses-2011
Our mares are all special,  they are not just numbers in the field. Each has a name, a job and a place in our hearts. We selected our mares very carefully and each mare was brought here for her own special reason. We do everything we can to ensure that our mares are healthy and that our foals are born perfectly healthy. The mares get all of their required shots, the best feed and hay we can provide twice a day, supplements and they are wormed on schedule. 60 days before foaling, we take the mares off pasture (we have fescue in the grass) and we feed alfalfa/orchard grass. For safety, our mares all foal out in a 12ft x 24ft foaling stall that has a night vision camera for easy monitoring.
